Why use a fume hood when doing experiments?
When we feel the results of the experiment, the relevant safety measures cannot be ignored. If you are handling potentially harmful substances in the experiment, the all-steel fume hood is a facility you must have.
Experimenters often work in places with hazardous, corrosive, flammable, explosive or other hazardous substances. Relevant measures must be taken to ensure their personal safety. This is especially true for those jobs that emit gases, steam or particles in quantities or concentrations that are harmful to humans. Therefore, these jobs must be carried out in an all-steel fume hood with the front sliding door of the facility kept closed.
All steel fume hoodThis puts you in an open workspace that allows fresh air to be drawn into the hood. A movable glass panel with open sides is called a sash. Even in the closed position, the sash still allows air to enter the hood. The air is then released through a vent or duct.
These may use radioactive materials, perchloric acid or other materials that may be explosive or corrosive, and chemicals that release harmful fumes should all be conducted within the facility.
